The Pacific Mondiacult journey

Across the Pacific region, a strong collective voice is emerging to affirm that culture is not a “nice to have”, but a key driver of sustainable development — shaping social cohesion, resilience, innovation, and long-term impact.

At Lalicorn Agency, we had the honor of producing a video for UNESCO that explores a powerful and timely idea: the need to recognize Culture as a standalone SDG.

UNESCO – The Pacific MONDIACULT Journey

Context

With more than 120 ministers and representatives from 150+ countries, MONDIACULT sets the international agenda for culture, highlighting its role in sustainable development, digital transformation, and social cohesion.

The Pacific culture is shaping and advancing the global future of culture.

Use of AI

It was our first opportunity to use AI in an animated videos.

AI helped us enhance the final result by enabling traditionally time-consuming frame-by-frame animation-style shots that would not normally be feasible within a UNESCO budget. Important to note that it did not reduce the overall workload.

Many thanks to the entire team for their excellent work.
