ICFA
The International Climate Finance Accelerator Luxembourg (ICFA) supports high impact investment strategies by yearly awarding and supporting 8 to 10 fund managers with climate action projects.
LALICORN is in charge of the organization’s branding, content creation and dissemination since 2019.
Background
ICFA Luxembourg was initiated by 11 private entities from the Luxembourg financial sector as well as the Luxembourg Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Sustainable Development in 2018.

Each year, 8 to 10 videos feature the awarded projects aimed at mitigating climate change.
The brief is minimal. There are 3 questions to be answered by the awardees and the maximum duration of the videos is 2 minutes.

Challenge
The constraints is a tight budget and the fact that the interviewees are scattered across the globe.
We agreed on a script using animation of photos (Ken Burns Effect, 3D parallax, SFx) and titles. The titles allow to view the videos without the sound, making the films mobile friendly.
Lalicorn tested different solutions and designed the process where the interviewees write their script and choose some photos that we propose. We then rewrite the script by a suitable journalist and record it by a voice over talent.
The project gives life every year to a series of human and intense films.
Prix
LALICORN Founder Nathalie Barbé was invited to Luxembourg where the fund managers from Terra Global, Social Investment Managers & Advisors & Clean Cooking Alliance, Camco Clean Energy, Add-Value and Dao Foods, received their ICFA awards on stage from the Luxembourg Ministry of the Environment. The ceremony took place during the Sustainable Finance Forum at the Philharmonie.
